Steve Eklund - Girls Basketball

Coach Steve Eklund has completed his 16th season as the leader of the Girls Basketball Program here at Pewamo-Westphalia. During last season's campaign, Coach Eklund reached the 300th win milestone. A standout former player and alumnus of P-W, Coach Eklund has enjoyed lots of success during his tenure. He was named the 2017 Division 3 State Coach of the Year by the Basketball Coaches Association of Michigan.

Under Coach Eklund's leadership, P-W has won 9 CMAC Championships, 11 District Championships, 4 Regional titles and has made 2 appearances in the State Title Game. In 2019,The Pewamo-Westphalia Girls Basketball team won the State Championship.

Coach Eklund receives support at home from his wife Terri and his three children, Jamison, Grady, & Adrianna. 

In his spare time, Coach Eklund enjoys playing softball, training, and traveling the country following his children and their baskeball teams (Jamison plays at Northwood). 

Coach Eklund is an avid fan of all of the Detroit teams and Michigan Wolverine Athletics.
