Library Media Center
Welcome to the media center page! We have worked hard to create an environment in which all students at the middle school and high school can feel comfortable and welcome. A library doesn’t have to be a quiet place of study at all times, and we show this by offering it as a place to gather, play the Wii at lunch, listen to music, and have discussions about various topics. We hope that it can be a safe and welcoming place for all!
Students are encouraged to visit the library to check out featured authors, new books, and select titles for the month. Many classes use the space for classroom activities as well.
The library is also the place where students can take their school-issued Chromebooks if they need a repair or help with a reset of the operating system. Our library aides and support technicians are knowledgeable and helpful.
Please contact Mrs. Samantha Kerr if you have questions or comments about the library and media center program.
The Library of Things
The Library of Things is a collection of non-traditional library items that complement the Pewamo-Westphalia Community School’s mission to inspire lifelong learning and to actively promote personal enrichment by connecting community members to information, ideas, culture, unique resources, and each other in a tradition of innovation and excellence.
Patrons who borrow a Thing must read and abide by the Guidelines for Borrowing and Use. Things must be checked out and returned to the Pewamo-Westphalia MS/HS library. Things may be borrowed for one week and may be renewed for an additional week provided no one else is waiting. Borrowing is limited to one Thing at a time per patron, with the exception of the Christmas tree and items related to building it (ornaments and tree skirt).
If you are interested in learning more about or donating items to the Library of things, check out our wanted items and policies.
